Percussion instrument from Brazil and some African countries, used in conjunction with Berimbao (one-stringed instrument like a bow). Your sound like a maraca but with two different strokes: a click of the seeds with another basket and click on the pumpkin seeds on the bottom. They are constructed of wicker, pumpkin shell and its interior have seeds, stones or wooden balls. It can run alone or in pairs. Their dimensions range from 10 to 15cm high by 5 to 9 cm in diameter.
